Hey guys! For this tutorial I wanted to create something super simple and quick to create, but also slightly glamorous. If your attending any event or even just hanging out with some friends, this makeup look will be perfect for you.
I start off by taking a warm light brown shade from the Morphe 35p palette on a Zoeva 221, and blend this into my crease – for my transition shade. I also bring this onto my outer third of my eyelid and under my eye. Then, using my finger, I apply this shade on my whole eyelid.
Next, from the same palette, I take a slightly darker brown shade. Using a Zoeva 231 brush, I focus this shade into the crease and my outer corner of my eye. Also bringing this shade under my eye, extending the shade out – to give me that cat eye effect. Make sure this is blended out nicely to ensure no harsh edges.
Moving on to an even darker brown, on the same brush, I focus this shade on my outer corner of my eye – bringing it slightly into the crease. Blending it really well, to make sure the eye look is really soft.
I then take my Rimmel Scandaleyes pencil liner and apply this to my upper waterline, to help blend with my liquid liner.
I love to use my Rimmel Glam’Eyes liquid liner to create the perfect cat eye, it’s super easy to use! I like to start my wing off small, getting each side even. Then extending the line if I want a bigger cat eye look.
Now for my trusty Maybelline Great lash mascara, I have been obsessed with this recently. Probably because I’ve just picked up a new tube and it’s making my lashes look extremely long. I apply this to my upper and lower lashes, making sure my lashes are well separated.
Ardell Demi Pixies lashes have to be some of my favourite lashes, and I thought they would be perfect for this simple makeup look. They aren’t too heavy, but also aren’t super natural. The design is just the perfect amount to spice up your makeup look.
To bronze up my face I take my Too Faced milk chocolate bronzer on a Zoeva 127, applying this to all the high points of my face, to give me that warm sun kissed look. It may be summer but I’m still a pasty white girl.
Something I have not used for a while and recently has been my go-to highlighter is my Mary-Lou Manizer highlight. I’m not sure why I ever stopped using this as it gives my skin such a beautiful, dewy glow. I applied this using aZoeva 105 to my cheekbones, chin, nose. Then on a Zoeva 223 I applied this to my inner corner, to give the eye look a little pop of shine.
Moving onto my lips, I start off by lining my lips using the Lipstick Queen hot rose lip pencil (please excuse I miss-spelt this in my video!).
Then for lipstick, I take my Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope lipstick. First applying this with a lip brush, to make sure its super precise. When I am happy with the shape of my lips, I apply it straight from the applicator so it is nice and pigmented.
To finish this makeup look off I apply NARS Salamanca lip gloss. I absolutely love this combo of lipstick and lip gloss, the colours match perfectly to each other.
I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and recreate it yourself for this summer (what’s left of it anyway). This look is very simple but also bold, bringing those beautiful summer colours into the makeup look. Let me know what you thought of this tutorial!
Lots of love
