One of my favourite styles of festival makeup is bringing the bohemian tribal markings on the face and body – then of course surrounded by glitter and gemstones. I love how she pairs a simple smokey glitter eye into this look and transformed the tribal markings into petal like shapes, giving it a very feminine touch. This looks complicated to do but its actually surprisingly simple to create. You just need some patients and a steady hand – if you have both of those you will have no problem creating a tribal festival look!

You can not go wrong with a cosmic galaxy inspired makeup look for a festival, us festival girls love the alien title. Blue, pink and purple tones are perfect for your eye shadow. This look is gorgeous and the baby blue eyes with the same blue toned hair looks amazing to create that perfect galaxy themed makeup look. I also love that you can be a bit chaotic with what you do with a galaxy themed look, the cosmos are all scattered so you can bring this into your makeup look. It doesn’t just have to be focused on your eyes but on your face and body. Of course you have to finish with some silver glitter or stars to represent the cosmic stars of your galaxy inspired look.

I feel like warm tones are the best for festivals as they really bring that summer vibe into your makeup. You can’t go wrong with some pretty gemstones for a festival look. Bringing the colour down into your cheeks and above the lip really ties the whole face together with the eye shadow – giving it a slight alien look (but in a cute way). The glitter cut crease really makes the eyes pop and matches the gemstones perfectly, tying the whole look together. And of course I love the white wig, the contrast between the warm makeup and the cool hair works so well because the face is so warm it really makes the makeup stand out.

I absolutely love how the inspiration from a butterfly can actually become beautiful makeup look. The warm oranges and yellow tones really compliment any summer festival vibe, also the placement of the glitter on the outer part of the eyes really gives the eyes that stunning elongated eye – which represents the butterfly wings. Along with the lashes that bring that cute insect look into it, you wouldn’t think turning your eyes into an insect could look so beautiful. Of course there are so many different types of butterflies out there, so you can change the colours to mimic your favourite butterfly wings.

You can never go wrong with the over the top amount of colour and glitter on your face and body for a festival. This is one of my favourite festival looks, all the colours – pink, blue, orange – from the eye shadow, lipstick and glitter itself works really well together – and I love how all the colours ombre beautifully into each other. I don’t think there’s such a thing as going over the top with the amount of glitter you put on yourself for a festival! I also love that she has bought some subtle tribal markings into her makeup, on her lip and nose. Like I said before tribal markings are some of my favourite things to do in makeup looks. This photo gives me so much inspiration!

You don’ always have to go super over the top to get a beautiful festival look, sometimes keeping it simple can look stunning and means you don’t have to worry too much about pairing your makeup with your outfit. A simple black smokey eye with a little bit of glitter and gemstones can give really eye catching, sexy effect – without having to put hours of time into creating it. Of course just pair the glitter up with your favourite blinding highlight and your good to go.

At a festival you really want to focus on feeling your best and most empowered, so why not turn yourself into a beautiful, powerful goddess! This look is simple but also you can tell how much time and effort into shading and blending to make this look so perfect. I love the simplicity of the star marking on her forehead, but how she has matched it to the eye shadow by using the same colours. I also like how the blush blends into the eye makeup – it really brings the whole look together. It’s a simple look but is a really eye catching, and I bet when the silver shimmer catches the light it would blind all who may be amongst this beautiful spirit. I love the simplicity of the star marking on her forehead, but how she has matched it to the eye shadow by using the same colours.

You can never go wrong with some festival glitter tears. I love the contrast between the blue and orange. This look really gives me holiday beach vibes with the sunset eye look and the sparkly glimmer on the ocean. The blusher on the cheeks is a beautiful vibrant pop to the cheeks and really blends nice together with the rest of the makeup look.To tie it all together I love the ombre blue and orange lip. I would personally never thought this colour combo would work together but quite obviously I have been proved wrong, this look is stunning.

Last but not least this is definitely one of my favourite glitter looks! These beautiful gemstones are placed perfectly around the face and frame her really well. I love how the glitter comes out between the gemstones in sun ray beams, making her eyes the centre of attention. The golden and pink shades really work well together to give that summer festival vibe, and then pairing the look with some statement gemstone pieces really ties the whole look together. I would love to know where she got those gemstones from, because they are stunning!
I hope this little blog post helps with finding inspiration for you festival makeup looks this year. I know I’m definitely taking some ideas to create my festival looks. Be sure to check out the girls from this post on Instagram, all links are under each image. They are some super talented souls!
