How I created this blue smokey eye look
I’ve included a transcript of the video below so you can easily refer back to how I created this look.
Hey guys welcome back to my channel.
Today I’m going to be doing this look, this is definitely something I would wear on a night out or going clubbing.
So let’s get into the tutorial.
I have already done my face makeup, like my foundation and powder and my eyebrows because you have already seen that in my last video, so you don’t need to see it again.
So I’m just going to get straight into the eyeshadow.
First I am going to take this colour from the Jeffree Star, Androgyny Palette with a fluffy brush and just applying that in my crease.
With the same brush again I’m going to take this grey purple colour from the morphe 35p palette and put that in the same place blending it out nicely.
I’m next going to take this luxe soft crease brush and take this purple colour here. And just work that into the crease.
Next I’m taking this purple blue colour from the morphe palette on the same brush again to intense up the crease. I keep dipping in and building it up slowly.
With smoky eyes the key is to slowly build it rather than going in straight away with a dark colour.
Now I’m going to take a slightly more dense blending brush. This is the luxe soft definer. I’m going to go in with this royal blue colour from the Urban Decay Electric palette and just build up the crease a little bit.
Next I’m going to place this blue colour all over my lid and then blend the harsh edges out. Using a luxe petite crease brush I’m going over the harsh edges one more time.
Taking that morphe palette one more time, I’m using the black colour. I’m slowly building that in the outer corner. I like to do this in the shape of a C on the edge of my eye. Then blend it gently with a blending brush.
I need to intense the blue one more time.
I’m going to build up the black a little more so it is super smoky.
Using the moonchild palette, I’m mixing blue moon and blue ice together and applying that with a flat brush to the centre of my eye.
I found this NYX eye and brow pencil? It’s blue!? This is in sapphire and applying that to my waterline.
Going back to the morphe 35P palette I’m using the purple blue shade and mix it with the royal blue from the electric palette and just run that under my eyes.
Now I’m going to take blue ice from the moonchild palette and apply that to the inner corner of my eyes.
I’m going to do the same as my last video and apply my 3 different mascaras, only applying a little bit because I’ll be applying lashes later.
Now it’s time for bronzer, blusher and highlight.
Today I’m using the Too Faced Chocolate bronzer, this smells so good. And just bronzing my face using this.
Next I’m taking rockateaur by benefit and using a luxe face definer.
To match the eyes I’m mixing Blue ice and Blue Moon from the Moonchild palette for highlight. I’m only putting a little bit on otherwise your face turns blue.
Next I’m going to apply some false eyelashes, I’m using the Ardell professional natural lashes in the style Demi Pixis. So cute!
To finish off I’m taking my no7 lipliner in Nude. Next I’m taking this nude Sleek true colour lipstick in the shade liquor. And just over the top of that I’m mixing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in the shade Clover. I did that to mute down the pink in the other lipstick and match the eyeshadow better.
Just for the fun of it here is a Dutch braid tutorial.
And this is the finished look, it is super smoky and shimmery especially, I’m absolutely in love with it especially with these lashes.
I hope you guys enjoyed this hair and makeup tutorial.
