I have always lived in Nottingham and have moved around to many different places around the Nottinghamshire area. I am currently based in the town Arnold, which is about a 20 minute drive from the City Centre. Previously I worked for Space NK doing makeup and events for the store. I picked up so many new skills when working there, which has really helped me improve on my client work – and my makeup collection. I am now a freelance makeup artist, mostly focusing my work on creative makeup.
I have had a passion for makeup from a young age. It all started when I joined secondary school and a friend introduced me to a dark smoky eyeshadow which I used to apply all over my eye (!). Don’t worry – my makeup skills definitely improved since then!
Since I first started wearing makeup I have been extremely motivated in learning new skills and keeping up with the trends because it is something I really enjoy. I have always been naturally very artistic since I was very young: painting, drawing and crafting at every opportunity. I believe this is why I took such a liking to makeup because a face is like a blank canvas to work on.
After doing makeup for many years on friends and family, I realised I was ready to turn what was once a hobby into a profession. Since then, I have had phenomenal feedback and have not, to date, had an unhappy customer.
I thrive on building my knowledge, techniques and skills to make sure I always achieve exactly what my client is looking for.
I strive to achieve a fantastic look for each client whilst at the same time, teach the client and update their skills so when it comes to doing their own makeup they know exactly what to do. I also only use a range of high quality products on my customers to make sure their makeup looks stunning and stays put, all day long.
