How I created this party makeup look:
Hey guys – today I’m going to be doing this look! It’s very party inspired – it’s very glittery, it’s very glam – enjoy!
At the start of the video I’ve already prepped my skin using Simple ‘Kind to Skin’ moisturiser.
And I’ve also mixed the Manuka Doctor Face oil in with that – I think this is really good when you have super dry skin, like I do, especially at this time of year. It just makes your skin feel really soft!
I don’t really tend to wear primer but for a night out or a party, I do recommend primer!
Next, I took the NARS illuminating cream – you literally need the tiniest bit of this! I applied this to the high points of my face. Basically, I like highlight everywhere because, who doesn’t like highlight?!
I used the Zoeva Buffing brush to do my foundation (enjoy the moment where I get foundation all over my leggings!)
I used the All Day Luminous Weightless foundation by NARS – I absolutely love this, it’s really – runny I guess? Which sounds bad but it’s really not bad, I like it.
Then I just apply little dots, then a little bit on the brush and just gently, barely touching your face, blend this out.
So I forgot about concealer, so I used No7 Beautifully matte foundation as a concealer – please don’t hate me! Please use concealer instead of foundation! I usually use concealer but I’ve run out. This foundation,
it’s not too brightening – and that’s the only thing, I do quite like a brightening under eye concealer. So blend that out.
I just use this little packed powder – Soap and Glory Packed powder – I am literally going to get so much hate for this. I just set the foundation (which should have been concealer) with the face shaped Zoeva brush.
I also set my eyelids with this too.
So next I set my whole face with the Chanel VITALUMIÈRE powder – I used a Zoeva powder brush.
So then I took a little spoolie and brushed my brows up. I use a wing liner Zoeva brush and I used a brown colour off the Morphe 35W 35 Color Warm Palette.
Hmm, sometimes I can be sat for 20 minutes doing my brows (don’t worry, I didn’t film that…)
So next I did my face make up – my bronzer-blush-highlight so I took Benefit Hoola Bronzer and applied a little bit to my Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush by Zoeva (all of my brushes are by Zoeva) apart from the odd eyeshadow brush
You’ll notice how I love to contour because it makes you look so good!
Next I applied blusher – I took the Benefit Rockateur Blush and applied it with the Luxe face definer. I saved highlighter for later because it’s my favourite thing to do and, save best till last!
So moving on to the eyeshadow, I used the Zoeva luxe crease brush and chose a colour from the Morphe 35W palette. You apply it just above the crease, going into the crease a little bit.
Next I took a slightly darker brown colour and put it in the same place – but it’s important not to blend it up as far. Then make sure that is all blended out nicely. That’s from the Lime Crime Venus eyeshadow palette.
Then I took a light purple colour from the Morphe 35P palette and applied it in the same place, working out very slightly towards the brow, but don’t go into the white part just below your brow because otherwise you’ll look a little bit scary.
Then I took the same colour again but on a different brush – I took it on a flat brush by Zoeva, the Luxe Smoky Shader, and I’m just putting it on the outer corner of my eye.
Next I took this really pretty purple colour and I put it on the outer part of my eye – like a third of my eye. Again that’s from the Lime
Crime Venus eyeshadow palette.
Then I took the Luxe Soft Definer Brush brush by Zoeva and very gently blended my eyeshadow out.
Then I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild highlighting palette in Pink Heart – and using a Detailed shader brush, so I just applied that on my inner third and then a little bit above the crease to make my eyes seem a little bit wider.
And then I applied Urban Decay Heavy Metal glitter liner in Catcall shade, just on the line of where I applied that eyeshadow and just above my crease so that when I open my eye fully you can still see it. I really like doing this because it gives the illusion that you’ve got wet eyeshadow. It also makes your eyeshadow look like you’ve put so much effort into it when, in reality – not really!
Eyeliner and mascara
I used Rimmel London glam eyes professional liquid liner.
I use 3 mascaras on my eyes. So I like to use a base one – the Clinique high impact mascara and I just use this on my top lashes as a base. This one’s really good because it really separates your lashes. I don’t think this one is very volumising though. It does make them quite long but it doesn’t really thicken them.
So I used the Max Factor masterpiece max high volume definition mascara to add more length and volume.
Then I just added a little colour under my eyes from the Morphe 35W palette, then applied Purple Horseshoe from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild highlighting palette under my eye.
Then I added a little more of the pink heard from the Venus palette in the inner corner of my eye.
Then for bottom mascara I like to use Maybelline great lash mascara
Then I took MAC Show Gold highlighter – it is absolutely stunning – it is a sort of rose gold and I thought that’d look good with the colours I’ve used. So I used the Luxe Highlight Zoeva brush and applied to the top of my cheekbones just here. It’s so glittery and so pretty, I just love it so much.
I prepped my lips with a little lip balm – EOS Lip balm. Then I lined my lips with the Number 7 precision lip pencil in Nude.
I went for the Stila liquid lipstick Perla then applied lip gloss over the top – believe it or not, this is the most beautiful looking lipgloss in the world and it’s from primark. They are absolutely amazing to say they are from primark!
This is the finished look – I absolutely adore this look – glittery, glam, perfect for a night out or a party – I would definitely wear this on an everyday basis.
